Step1Mineral makeup works with the oils in you skin, so it’s important that your skin be clean, smotth and well hydrated. Make sure you have a good exfoliater and moisturizer on hand.
Step2Exfoliate your skin. Wet face. Apply the exfoliater in small circles using light pressure. Do not press hard! This can damage your skin. You want to gently buff away the dead and dried skin, not rip the healthy skin from your face. Rinse off and pat dry.
Step3Apply moisturizer. Allow to soak into your skin. If you have very dry skin you may need to apply it a second time. After three to four minutes blot your face with a tissue to remove excess moisturizer.
Step4Apply the mineral makeup. Tap a small amount into the lid of your mineral container. A small amount of mineral makeup will go a long way! Take your kabuki brush and swirl the brush around inside the lid. Start in the middle of your forehead with a gentle buffing motion working out towards your temples. Continue this pattern working from the midline of your face out until you have full coverage. Make sure you blend your jaw line down into your neck to avoid the “mask” look.
Step5Apply more if needed. If you didn’t get the look you want, apply one or more layers the same way you applied the first. With mineral makeup you can build up in layers for the coverage you want. :)
